Click here to buy the screen for Acer PREDATOR HELIOS 300 Model: PH315

Tools Needed

For the replacement process we will need the following tools:
- Heat gun
- Plastic picks
- Metal pick

Shut down the laptop

To begin turn the laptop off and disconnect the power cord.

Remove the bezel

Start removing the bezel. Using both hands pull the bezel away from the glass.
Go around the perimeter unsnapping the tabs underneath. Separate the two hinge covers.
Remove the bezel.

Separate the LCD from the back cover

The LCD screen is glued to the plastic cover. We need a Heat Gun to soften the glue.
Warm up the right and the left sides of the plastic cover. Using the plastic pick start separating
the LCD screen. Use a second plastic pick to separate the screen from the opposite side.
Use the heat gun repeatedly on both sides of the laptop to make sure the glue is soft.
Move the plastic picks along the sides of the LCD separating it from the plastic cover. Once
separation is achieved place the LCD screen on the keyboard.

Disconnect the video cable

Use a metal pick to peel off the clear tape securing the video cable. Using both hands carefully
disconnect the cable. Discard the old panel.

Connect the new screen

Take the new LCD screen and place it on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable.
Secure it with a clear tape.
CAUTION! it is very important not to force any connectors. As well you must not twist
or slant the connector when plugging it in.

Test the new screen

Lift the screen up. Guide the video cable in its channel. Before we continue it is better to check
if the screen is working. Press the power button and if start up graphics appears we can finish
the installation process. Turn the laptop off.

Reinstall the new screen using new adhesive strips

The LCD screen is held in place with two stripes of glue and the bezel. In our case original glue
is still working but you can use a new adhesive tape which you can buy
on our site https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/section/tools/
Press firmly along the left and the right sides of the laptop to make sure that the screen is glued to the back cover.

Replace the bezel

Replace the bezel. Start from the bottom corners and then
go around the perimeter snapping the tabs back in place. Use one hand support the back
cover while snapping the tabs along the bottom edge. Close the laptop and make sure
that the bezel is in place at the hinge covers.

Turn the laptop on. And we are done!
