Replacement Part Types

One laptop model can be manufactured with different display options:
- non-touch screen,
- on-cell touch display,
- touch screen display assembly (digitizer layer glued on top of the screen).

Non-touch Display can be replaced by:
- LCD Screen with the same specifications (info)
- OLED Screen with the same specifications (info)
- Frameless Matrix (usually found in MacBooks) (info)


On-cell Touch Display must be replaced only by Display with embedded touch panel. (info)


Touch Screen Display Assembly has a separate digitizer layer on top of the screen and can be replaced (from easy to hard) by:
- Display Assembly (Complete Top Lid) (info)
- Screen + Touch Digitizer + Bezel (info)
- Screen + Touch Digitizer (info)
- Screen (info) combined with Touch Digitizer + Bezel (info)
- Screen (info) combined with Touch Digitizer (info)
