For the replacement process we will need: a plastic pick and tweezers
Shut down the laptop
To begin turn the laptop off and disconnect the power cord
Remove the bezel
Now we have to remove the bezel. Insert a plastic pick between the bezel
and the LCD from the inner side. Move the pick along the edge. Insert the
plastic pick between the bezel and the LCD on the outer side move it along
unsnapping the tabs underneath. Move the pick around the perimeter
releasing the bezel. Put the bezel aside
Remove the adhesive strips
The screen is held in place with two adhesive strips on the sides. Using tweezers
pick up the loose tab on the right side and pull out the adhesive strip. Pull out the
adhesive strip on the left side
Disconnect the video cable
Now when the screen is released, place it on the keyboard to get access to the video
connector. The connector is secured with two pieces of film. Peel off the first
silver tape. Then using a plastic pick and fingers peel of the second piece of film.
Open the connectors bracket. Discard the old screen
Connect the new screen
Place the new screen on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable. Close the
connectors bracket secure it with a clear and a silver tape. CAUTION! It is very
important not to force any connectors. Also make sure not to twist or slant the
connector when plugging it in
Test the new screen
Lift the screen up and lean it against the back cover. Now we can test the new screen.
Reconnect the power cord and turn the laptop on. The screen is working and we can
finish the installation process
Reinstall the new screen using adhesive strips
In order to secure the screen in the back cover we are going to use a set of adhesive strips,
which you can buy on our site: https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/section/tools/
Use alcohol and a piece of cloth to clean the surfaces on the screen sides.
Apply adhesive strips. Lift the screen and fully open the laptop. Apply some pressure
to catch the adhesive. Make sure that the tabs on the top of the screen are tucked away
Replace the bezel
Go around the perimeter, snapping tabs back in place. Make sure
that the bezel in snapped in the bottom.
Reconnect the power cord, turn the laptop on and we are done!
