Shut down the laptop
To begin, shut down the laptop and disconnect the AC power
Remove the bezel
Remove two plastic covers from the bottom corners of the bezel. Using a Phillips screwdriver,
remove two screws holding the bezel. Proceed with removing the bezel. Start from the sides,
gently pulling the inner edge of the plastic. Once the edges unsnapped, move around the perimeter,
releasing all of four sides. Put the bezel aside
Separate the screen
Now we have access to the LCD panel. Remove four Phillips screws holding the LCD screen in place,
one screw in each corner. Place the LCD panel on the keyboard
Disconnect the video cable
Gently peel off the tape securing the video connector and disconnect the video cable.
Discard the old panel
Connect the new screen
Take the new LCD screen and place it on the keyboard. Using both hands, reconnect the video cable.
Secure it with clear tape. Caution. It is very important not to force any of the connectors. as well.
You must not twist or slant the connector when plugging it in
Test the new screen
Lift the screen up and align it with the top cover. At this point, we can test the new screen. Press
the power button and if the startup graphics appear, the replacement screen is installed correctly.
Cancel the boot up by pressing and holding the power button
Install the new screen
Replace four Phillips screws securing the LCD screen in place
