Make sure to disconnect the power and to remove the battery before disassembly
Remove the bezel
Using an exact knife remove two protective plastic covers that are covering bezel screws
at the bottom corners of the display assembly. Using a Philips screwdriver remove two bezel
screws. At this point the bezel can be removed. Start at the left inner Edge and gently unsnap
the bezel from the display assembly by continually applying outwards pressure all around the
perimeter of the bezel. The bottom edge of the bezel can be easier undone by standing the
laptop on its side and separating the bezel from the display assembly at that angle. Be careful
around the hinge area when removing the bezel
Remove four screws
The LCD panel is held in with four Phillips screws two on each side. Remove the two screws
on the left side then the other two on the right side. It is recommended to line the keyboard with a
cloth or a paper towel to avoid scratches on the LCD panel
Disconnect the screen
Place the LCD panel down on the keyboard and gently peel off the clear plastic tab securing
the video connector. The video cable is also glued onto the LCD. Lift it up from behind just enough
enough to disconnect the video plug. Discard the old panel
Connect the new screen
The new panel can now be installed. Place the new part on the keyboard and align it with a
video cable. Gently plug in the video connector. Please be careful both the connector and the
socket are extremely fragile
Install the screen
Please ensure proper alignment of the connector lift the new panel in place remove the protective
film. Secure the two left side screws. You may need to hold up the display to align the mounting
holes properly. Replace the two right side screws
Test the screen
At this point the display can be tested. Reconnect the AC adapter only then press the power
button if the startup image appears the screen is properly installed. Press and hold the power
button to cancel the boot up. Disconnect the AC adapter. Replace the bezel and snap it and
place around the edges. Stand the computer on its side to snap in the bottom edge
Replace the bezel
Screws in the bottom corners. Replace the two plastic screw covers. Reinstall
the battery reconnect the power cord and you're done!
