Click here to buy the screen for MSI KATANA GF66

Tools

For the replacement process, we will need: A plastic pick, A set of adhesive strips

Shut down the laptop

To begin, turn off the laptop

Remove the bezel

Now we can remove the bezel. The bezel is held in place with tabs and strips of glue.
Using a plastic pick, pry off the inner edge of the bezel. Using both hands, gently pull
the bezel away from the screen, going around the perimeter. Use the plastic pick to
separate the bezel on the bottom side, then remove the bezel. Remove any remaining
strips of glue

Release the screen

The LCD screen is also held in place with adhesive strips. Using the plastic pick, gently
pry off the LCD screen on the left and right sides. Place the screen on the keyboard

Disconnect the screen

Peel off the clear tape from the video connector. Disconnect the video cable and
discard the old screen

Connect the new screen

Place the new screen on the keyboard. Using both hands, reconnect the video cable
and secure it with clear tape. CAUTION! It is very important not to force any connectors.
Also, make sure not to twist or slant the connector when plugging it in

Install the new screen with adhesive strips

Your new display may not come with adhesive. We offer standard double-sided tape
for such repairs on our site: https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/section/tools/
Use alcohol and a piece of cloth to clean the back side of the LCD and the inner side
of the back cover. Apply adhesive strips to the back of the new LCD. Make sure that the
video connector is properly secured, then lift the screen up and apply some pressure
to the display along the edges to catch the adhesive. Remove the protective film

Replace the bezel

Now we can replace the bezel. Start from the bottom corners and then go around the
perimeter, snapping the tabs back in place. Turn the laptop over and use a plastic pick
to snap the tabs along the bottom edge of the screen.

Reconnect the power cord, turn on the laptop, and we are done!
