For the replacement process we’ll need the following tools: a Plastic Pick and a Tweezers

Shut down the laptop

To begin turn off the laptop and disconnect the power cord

Remove the bezel

Using plastic pick pry off the bezel on the inner edge of a bezel. Start from the side and
go along the perimeter. Using fingers start unsnapping the tabs underneath the bezel.
Go around the perimeter. Close the laptop and using plastic pick unsnap the bezel at the
bottom edge. The hinge covers are part of the bezel. Using a pick release both hinge
covers. Remove the bezel

Remove adhesive strips

The LCD screen is held in place with adhesive strips with loose tabs hanging in the bottom
of the screen. Using tweezers pick the tab on the right side and pull out the adhesive strip.
Pull out adhesive strip on the left side. Place the screen on the keyboard

Disconnect the video cable

This a rare case when video connector is secured with TWO layers of tape.
Peel off the first silver tape. Then peel off the clear tape. Using plastic pick open the
connector’s bracket. Disconnect the video cable. Discard the old screen

Connect the new screen

Place the new screen on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable. Close the connector’s
bracket. Secure it with two tapes. CAUTION! It is very important not to force any connectors.
Also make sure not to twist or slant the connector when plugging it in

Test the new screen

Lift the screen up and lean it on the back cover. Test the new screen.The screen is working
and we can finish reinstallation process

Reinstall the new screen using new adhesive strips

We are going to use new set of adhesive strips, which you can buy on our site:

Clean the back of the screen with alcohol. Apply new adhesive strips. Clean the inner
surfaces of the back cover. Lift the screen up and apply some pressure on the sides

Replace the bezel

Insert the hinge covers into the slots. And then go around the perimeter snapping tabs
back in place. Close the laptop and make sure that bezel in snapped in place at the bottom.

Turn the laptop on, and we are done!
