Tools

For the replacement process we'll need the following tools: a Plastic Pick,
and a Phillips Screwdriver

Shut down the laptop

To begin turn off the laptop and disconnect the power cord

Remove the bezel

Using plastic pick start unsnapping the tabs on the inner edge of the bezel.
Close the laptop and unsnap the bezel at the bottom

Remove four screws

Using a Phillips screwdriver remove four screws holding the LCD panel.
Place the screen onto the keyboard

Disconnect the video cable

Peel off the clear tape securing the video connector. Disconnect the video connector.
Discard the old screen. Secure it with a clear tape

Connect the new screen

Place the new screen onto the keyboard. Reconnect the video connector.
CAUTION! It is very important not to force any of the connectors. You must not
twist or slant the connector when plugging it in

Test the new screen and replace 4 screws

Lift the screen up and test the new screen. The screen is working and we can
finish the installation process. Replace the four Phillips screws

Replace the bezel

Start from the bottom corners. Press firmly and then go around the perimeter snapping
tabs back in place. Close the laptop and make sure that the bezel is snapped in place
in the bottom.

Turn the laptop on, and we are done!
