Click here to buy the screen for Lenovo IDEAPAD B50-45

Shut down the laptop

To begin make sure that the laptop is turned off. Disconnect the power and remove the battery
as shown on the case. Not that there is a locking clip that you may need to slide first in order
to remove the battery

Remove the bezel

There are no screws holding the bezel in this laptop. Insert your fingers between the LCD and
the bezel on the inner edge. And carefully start working your way around the assembly. Be sure
not to apply much force. Set the bezel aside.

Remove four screws

The screen is held in place by 4 Phillips screws on per mounting tab near each corner. Once all
screws are removed carefully place the screen face down on the keyboard

Disconnect the video cable

Peel off the clear tape securing the video connector. Carefully disconnect the cable. Put the old
screen aside

Connect the new screen

At this point the new screen can be installed. Place the new screen face down on the keyboard
and align the video connector with the video cable. Reattach the video cable using both hands.
Make sure that the connector is not twisted or slanted. It must be plugged in straight. Secure the
video connector with tape

Install the new LCD

Lift the new LCD up and align the clips with respective screw holes. Replace the 4 Phillips screws

Replace the bezel

Reattach the bezel by pushing the clips back in with your hands. Work your way around the
perimeter of the display assembly making sure that the all clips are locked in
Flip the laptop over making sure that the bottom edge is also snapped in

Replace the battery. Reconnect the power cable. Turn the laptop on. And we are done!
