Shut down the laptop
To begin turn the laptop off and disconnect the power cord
Remove the bezel
Next step is to remove the bezel. Insert a plastic pick between the bezel and the LCD on the inner
side. Move it along the perimeter unsnapping the tabs underneath. Remove the bezel
Release the screen
The screen is held in place with two adhesive strips with the loose pads in the upper corners.
Remove Phillips screw from each of the adhesive rails to gain easier access to adhesive strips,
Pick up the loose pad in the top right corned and pull out the adhesive strip. Pull out the adhesive
strip from the left side
Disconnect the screen
Place the screen on the keyboard. Replace the Phillips screws in the top corners. Peel off clear tape
securing the video connector. Open the connector bracket. Disconnect the video cable.
Discard the old screen
Connect the new screen
Place the new screen on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable. Close the connector’s bracket.
Secure it with clear tape. CAUTION! It is very important not to force any connectors. Also make sure
not to twist or slant the connector when plugging it in
Test the new screen
Now we can test the screen. Lift the screen up and lean it against the back cover. reconnect the
power cord and turn the laptop on. The screen is working and we can finish the installation process.
Place the screen back on the keyboard
Install the new screen
We are going to use a set of adhesive strips to reattach the screen to the back cover.

Clean the sides of the screen with alcohol and a piece of cloth. Apply adhesive strips. Peel off protective
film. Lift the screen up and apply some pressure. Remove protective film
Replace the bezel
Go around the perimeter snapping tabs back in place. Wipe the screen from the
finger prints. Reconnect the power cable, turn the laptop on. We are done!
