For the repair we will need the following tools: Plastic pick and Phillips screwdriver
Shut down the laptop
To begin turn off the laptop and disconnect the power cord
Remove the bezel
The bezel is held in place with tabs and adhesive along the inner perimeter.
Move the plastic pick along the inner perimeter releasing the edges from the adhesive.
At the same time start unsnapping the tabs along the perimeter. Remove the bezel and set it aside
Remove four screws
Using a Phillips screwdriver remove four screws holding the screen at the corners.
Place the LCD screen on the keyboard
Disconnect the video cable
Peel off the clear tape securing the video connector.
Open the connector's bracket. Disconnect the video cable. Discard the old screen
Connect the new screen
Place the new LCD screen on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable. Close the connector’s bracket.
Secure it with a clear tape
Install the new screen
Lift the screen up making sure that the video cable stays in the right position.
Replace the Phillips screws in four corners
Test the new screen
Now we can test the screen. Turn the laptop on and if start up graphics appears we can finish
the installation process
Replace the bezel
Start from the bottom then go around the perimeter snapping tabs back in place.
Close the laptop and using the plastic pick make sure that the bezel in snapped along the
bottom of the screen.
Turn the laptop on, and we are done!
